CardioVia’s Peer-Reviewed Epicardial Access Preclinical Study in JICE Validates ViaOne’s Safety and Feasibility
A pre-clinical study published in the Journal of Interventional Cardiac Electrophysiology demonstrated the feasibility and safety of the ViaOne system in porcine models. The results confirmed successful and controlled pericardial access without cardiac perforations, highlighting ViaOne’s potential to transform how physicians perform epicardial procedures. This publication provided further important validation of the device’s disruptive technology.
The epicardial access preclinical study assessed ViaOne’s innovative blunt-tip concealed needle and bio-impedance navigation system across 18 procedures in porcine models. The findings showed consistent and safe access to the pericardial space, with no observed cardiac or pericardial injury.

These results support the epicardial access preclinical study’s conclusion that ViaOne offers a safer, more controlled approach for accessing the heart’s surface compared with traditional sharp-needle techniques.
The epicardial access preclinical study in JICE reinforces ViaOne’s position as a next-generation platform for electrophysiologists seeking improved safety and precision.
